Yet.

New information -- for expectant mothers right now -- the pandemic is causing some anxiety.

Hospitals are changing policies when it comes to who is even allowed in a delivery room.

Waay31's megan reyna spoke to two women who are navigating bringing a child into the world during a time of uncertainty.

Right now -- here at huntsville hospital -- only one visitor is allowed in a delivery room.

But we're told by one mother who plans on giving birth tomorrow -- she'll have her husband there -- and with permission from her o-b-g-y-n ... a doula.

Renz says:"you just really never know what your risks factors are, and what the world is going to look like when you get up the next day."

Crystal renz is due today but -- her baby is being a little stubborn.

So tomorrow -- her doctor will be inducing labor to welcome her second child.

It's a time that's supposed to be filled with joy.

Clark says:"everybody, everybody is under a whole lot of stress."

Kirsten clark is renz's doula.

While she's not a health care provider -- she's trained to provide both emotional and medical support.

Clark says:"like having that uncertainty that my member of my health care team may be barred from my labor and delivery room is really freaking people out."

Renz says:"there's probably not a more vulnerable moment in a woman's life than giving birth."

Luckily renz says her doctor is allowing clark to be there tomorrow -- as long as she brings her certification.

Natz for lynsie lamitie ... she has until june until her first child is due.

Lamitie says:"i'm really banking on kirsten to be there for us."

She decided to hire a doula to help navigate the pregnancy.

Lamitie was already dealing with fact her mother... who lives out of the state -- likely won't be there.

Now -- she's worried if the coronavirus gets worse -- at some point the hospital might not allow clark inside the delivery room.

Lamitie says:"it's important to me that she's there because she has been with me this whole time."

As much as lamitie is trying to stay positive -- she can't help but worry some.

Lamitie says:"i don't think we have enough information on what will happen down the road."

According to the c-d-c ... it's unclear right now if pregnant women are at a higher risk of getting the coronavirus.

It's also unclear if or how it could affect the health of a baby after birth.

Reporting in hsv mr waay 31 news.

There is some encouraging - though preliminary - research on the topic out of wuhan, china - where coronavirus originated.

Doctors there said the virus isn't transmitted from moms to their newborns.

That is based on 4 women who gave birth while infected with the disease.

None of the babies had any serious symptoms, and all of their mothers made a full recovery.
