Local restaurants and bars are continuing to do what they can to stay open.

Last week the governor ordered restaurants to go to takeout and delivery only.

Many local restaurants had to make cuts to staff to try and make ends meet.

Hes to go to takeout and delivery only.

Many local restaurants hsince the governor announced that restaurants are restricted to just takeout and delivery.

Swifty's owner david wood says that he's still adjusting to the transition.

"well you know its a different world that we live in today that we did two weeks ago.

Its been a big change for everybody and it seems the community and everybody that i talk to are being pretty good about using good practice and hygene to prevent this from spreading."

Wood says they did have to make cuts to staff in order to make ends meet.

A measure he says is only temporary.

"we have given the staff the oppurtunity to either go aheadad and apply for unemployment or work the hours that we can give them and we can sustain it's their choice were not making it mandatoryempk the hours that we can give them and we can sustain it's their choice were not making it mandatory.

But we certainly want them to do what's right for them and their fam"on a daily basis we are goig through and making sure things are clean even though we dont have very many people coming through the door, we just want to make sure that we are using good hygiene and practice."

But woods says that the day all of these restrictions are lifted, cant come sooner.

"oh my god it would be great if it was tomorrow, but we know it wont be but you are absolutely correct.

When the flood gates open then it will be a great day it will be like prohibition ending."
