Farmer's Market continues in Chico

The Farmer's Market is still open on Saturday mornings in Downtown Chico but they are taking extra precautions to keep people safe amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Shelter in place order is still allowing people to pick up groceries at the local farmers market in chico.

This morning dozens of people stopped by the saturday morning market in downtown.

Workers told action news now that they had a busier morning than usual and still saw around the same amount of people for a typical saturday.

But they did take extra precautions to make sure people were safe.

We are keeping vendors apart, empty parking slot between each group asking all musicians to unfortunatley not come to not collect crowsd asking customers to come alone and not in groups.

They also had three extra hand washing stations .

The market is expected to remain open during normal hours on saturdays.
