Butte county public health officials have confirmed two cases of coronavirus in butte county... public health says the first case is a man from chico over the age of 65.

They say he is dealing with mild symptoms from the virus..

And is currently self quarantined in his home... public health is still working to find out where he became infected.

The second case is an adult who also experiencing mild illness.

Health officials are not saying if it's a man or woman, but do say their case is travel related.

There are now two confirmed cases of the coronavirus in shasta county..

County public health says a woman in her 70s tested positive... she is now in isolation at a local hospital.

Health officials tell us the patient recently traveled to an area in the state where the virus is known to be present.

Right now the health departmentis working to identify others who are at risk of the infection and will issue quarantine orders as necessary.

### glenn, tehama, trinity and modoc all say they have no confirmed cases.

Siskiyou has two confirmed cases and yuba-sutter couny announced its third case over the weekend.

### and with butte county's first confirmed cases of the coronavirus -- a representative from the butte county jail says the jail will be suspending public visitation.

The sheriff's office says they will begin working on other ways for inmates to have contact with family members.

The money would go toward leasing two medical centers and securing equipment to help the state respond to the coronavirus..

He also said the state is focusing on taking care of its most vulnerable - including the homeless##
