Huntsville police say they're getting calls with concerns that non-essential businesses are not following the statewide health order.

Waay31s sierra phillips is live at the south huntsville police station.

Sierra, what concerns do police say callers have?

The complaints are either that employers aren't following the order or business owners were letting customers inside their store.

Police say they got around 20 calls just yesterday-- the first work day this order was in place.

But--they also say the complaints were mostly due to a lack of understanding the order as businesses find another way to sell their merchandise when people saw employees inside the building it raised red flags, but employees are allowed in stores.

Its's the general public that can't be inside.

Employees are just asked to maintain a 6 foot distance while working.

Police say they didn't fine or shut down any businesses because of those calls, but they did call or visit stores to remind employers what the order states.

Failure to comply with the order can result in a $500 fine live in huntsville sierra phillips waay31 news.
