Matt...renee...with so much uncertainty around coronavirus... many of us find ourselves panicking the moment we feel a symptom coming on.

That's especially for people who suffer from allergies, because some of symptoms are the same.

But one allergist tells me the worst thing you can do is panic... cough or shortness of breath can be symptoms of both..

But candice rohr with the allergy and asthma center tells me you will not get a fever from allergies.

She says if you usually have allergies....you should take your medication as normal to minimize or eliminate your symptoms. something that won't happen if you have covid-19.

"if they take a turn for the worst...youll have more of a sore throat more discomfort in my sinuses i'm even more fatigued i would think you'd be looking at more covid like symptoms."

She tells me covid-19 also usually causes a very sore throat which is unusual with allergies.

She says you can feel tired from allergies but with covid-19 you are extremely fatigued... and you usually feel that symptom first.

Coming up on kezi 9 news at six -- ill explain how asthma plays a role in patients with allergies and covid-19... and what you need to be aware of if you have it.
