>> staying educated, staying stimulate the name of the game during this pandemic and our stay at home order.

And we're so glad to welcome back elize a.

And they have events happening virtually to help people staying at home.

And thank you so much for being with us.

>> great.

>> how have you been handling all of this.

>> it's hard for everyone, but i've been inspired by charleston, everyone coming together to make it work, and we're here like everyone.

>> spring break is coming and going, and a lot of kids would have been coming to your museum, and a lot of adults as well.

And is it surreal for you to be at home during this time?

>> absolutely surreal.

We normally have camps all the time and field trips, especially this time of year, but we're finding ways for parents at home trying to navigate homeschool with their kids, and all of the things going on, and it's surreal, but we're doing our best.

>> a lot of parents are having to homeschool their children, and having a new appreciation for teachers.

And tell us what the charleston museum is doing to keep kids stimulated and keeping the process going during this time.

>> between the museum and the curators, we have been able to develop these free lessons, matthew has been working with the citadel, and we have 3-d models for some of our specimens.

A jaw from an old dinosaur, or things in our election have been turned to 3-d models, and you can put them on the website.

And what you would be doing if they were just this big and if we could make it, and with it, he's explaining the different things to look for, and there are different points to point out why the instructor is that way, so with each of the mini lessons, virtual tours on our website, they have critical thinking skills and evenly the vocabulary, and so we have topics and skills, and education with crafts.

There's a contrast that i did with my 7-year-old about mammals, and on the website, we have these posts that everyone can access.

>> and some households have more toilet paper rolls than others.

This is a great supplement to education, and as we start to emerge from all of this, does the museum have anything new for visitors come say fall or winter of this year?

>> absolutely, we're putting up a new exhibit, shapes and summer, historic bathing suits of charleston, and it's a great look at bathing suits from the 1890s when you would need to wear a bonnet and stocks and boots, and a wool bathing suit up to the 1970s where we have the cute wool overcoats, and we're trying to bring the programs back.

We had a happy hour history, and we would tell tongue-in-cheek stories.

>> that sounds like a delight.

And if this pandemic companies to keep us in our homes, do you anticipate those being available virtually?

>> yes, with a the bathing suit direction, that can be accessed online.

And we have these great blog posts, and we're going live on facebook.

We have one that went live a week ago, and it's still on there, you can see a tour of the exhibit.

And you can see a lot of the collections with jemp mccormick.

So they're on facebook live.

>> and you can actually wear your bathing suit while going to the exhibit.

>> that's genius, yes.

>> where do people find out more information?

>> he is connect with us on social media, send it to dm if you have questions or subjects that you need help with, on facebook and twitter, and our website, charleston museum.org.

>> liza, stay safe.

>> thank you so much.
