New Morgan County Testing Clinic

This afternoon -- a new coronavirus testing site will open in morgan county.

The site will be at the county health department in decatur -- and you will need a doctors note to be tested.

As you mentioned you have to have a doctors note to be tested -- but you also have to show symptoms and meet other requirements.

Again -- the new site will be at the county health department in decatur.

They'll open at one this afternoon and close at three.

They'll open up again tomorrow, and next monday and wednesday.

In order to be tested -- you have tohave that doctors note.

You also have to show symptoms and be 65 years old or older, be a healthcare worker, or have a pre-existing condition.

This isn't the only site open today.

Out in marshall county the state department of health is offering testing five days a week.

The department location in guntersville is open monday through friday from 12:20 to four.

Right now marshall county is considered the "hotspot" in north alabama.

Cases are steadily rising there.

Last tuesday there were 34 confirmed cases -- now there are 104.

And there have been two reported deaths.
