The Pain Management Center is using telemedicine to care for its patients.

Physicians at the pain management center in starkville say their patients dont have to suffer in pain during the pandemic.

Doctor douglas tucker is a physician at the oktibbeha county hospital.

He said workers at the pain management center scrambled to produce the telemedicine option for their patients.

He said the center has stopped some electro procedures after the governor issued the executive order.

Dr. tucker says if patients want to see a physician at the center ..

They still can.

Physicians use facetime..google duo and other audio and visual components that do not require user registration.

"it's certainly a lot better than either no care at all or bringing a lot of folks in through the clinic increasing their risk of exposure and our staff.

So what we're doing right now is great for the patients that really needs us right now.

I don't think it's ideal long term."

Doctor tucker said although relying on telemedicine isnt ideal, he does think its the best option for patients to meet with their physicians during the pandemic.
