Brindisi slams SBA over PPP distribution

Congressman Anthony Brindisi says he is not happy with the amount of money the Small Business Administration allocated to New York.

For the payrol protection program....congress man brindisi wants to make sure more of that money comes to main street.

He says the 22nd congressional district has 11 thousand small businesses that employ 113 thousand people....and generate four billion dollars in payroll.

Brindisi is slamming the small business administration for the way it administered the funds.

9:44 set aside more money for smaller banks and smaller credit unions to be able to make loans to farms and small mom and pops in rural areas.

What we have seen in the first part of the ppp is that many large businesses who had more sophisticated relationships with their lenders took advantage of the programs. moving forward we have to make sure there's a set aside - which there will be now - for smaller banks and credit unions to lend to smaller businesses 10:22 but the sba has to do a better job administering the funds.
