Roosters' season on hold due to pandemic

Games through May and their fundraising event this summer have been cancelled so far.

Xxx the roosters base ball club of rochester doesn't just play vintage baseball, they teach the history of the game to the community.

Like many other sports during this pandemic, their season is on hold for now.

Roosters baseball club president corky gaskell tells me there is no time table on when the season will return.

He says the club has already cancelled their games through the end of may, and stresses that even though the team wants to play, it's better to be safe in the long run.xx "we're just sort of being safe, time to be smart.

As much as we want to get out on the field and as much as we want to play, we just know that, we just take a deep breath and stand down and let this thing kind of run it's course."

Although there is a threat of a cancelled season, corky said the team will still be fine for the next couple of seasons.
