A member of the Covid-19 reopening task force explains why we just don't open up all businesses at once.

First phases of reopening, the hamilton county covid-19 task force is working hard to decide what is best for the area.

The task force is made up of our local mayors, a member from each of the hospitals, and other health officials.

Today, the task force met to discuss the county's reopening process, hospitals allowing more surgeries, and the importance of people not skipping emergency health care.

Task force member, rae bond, says they believe a slow reopening process is best to help monitor the number of cases in our area.

We agree the incremental approach is really the best approach.

When you gradually reopen it gives the health department officials time to monitor cases that we are seeing at the hospitals.

The hospitals monitor if they are seeing an increase or anything that might indicate that we are starting to have a spike.
