A McDonald’s employee is going viral after “revealing”a secret behind one of the chain’s most popular items.The employee, who goes by marzpire onsocial media, shared the insider knowledgein a TikTok video posted on April 12.In it, she briefly shows her followersthe reasoning behind the spoons servedwith the chain’s McFlurry desserts.The plastic spoons served inside thecandy-packed ice cream treats are wide andhollow — as if designed to double as a straw —but they’re also sealed off at the bottom.“Have you ever wondered why you can’tactually drink out of a McFlurry spoon,”the user captioned her video, which hasbeen viewed more than 3.8 million times.The TikToker goes on to show the entireprocess of preparing an Oreo McFlurry.revealing that the “straw”is actually designed to fit thechain’s mechanical mixers.“If u didnt know, now u do,”marzpire wrote in her post.The now-viral video received a widerange of responses, many from commenterswho were shocked by the realization.“I know for a fact EVERY SINGLE PERSON whohas had a Mcflurry for the first time has tried todrink it out of the spoon,” one commenter wrote.“Well that explains it after all these years,”another added.
