Using stimulus money to give back
Coronavirus./// a lot of hospitals and medical facilities are running low on personal protective equipment while trying to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
So one area man is taking matters into his own hands to help his local hospital.
Kimt news 3's alex jirgens caught up with the generous man and joins us live with the story.
Alex?xxx live for those of you who received a stimulus check over the past few weeks... you might have spent it on bills?
Or supporting local businesses like xxxx coffee shop.
But larry klemsrud is spending his 1?
Hundred dollars in a different way.
Klemesrud is the director of veterans affairs for mitchell county?
And a familiar face around the area.
He knows the amount of time?
Energy?
And sacrifices medical workers at the mitchell county regional health center are making right now.
So he took 12 hundred dollars?
And donated it all to the hospital to be used on ??e.
For him?
The donation is personal?
As a tribute of sorts to his aunt mary?
Who was a nurse there for about 25 years.xxx "the people there at the hospital mean a great deal to me.
They're good, they have tremendous care for their patients, and they're just awesome people."
Klemesrud is actually still waiting on his stimulus check to come... but decided to donate the money anyways in the meantime.
Live in albert lea?
