Cassandra Palmer and her husband both survived the coronavirus.

Cassandra shares her story.

Her husband made it through their own fight with the coronavirus..

And now she wants to help others do the same by spreading awareness and hope.

"i'm living proof that you can think you don't have it when you do."

(nats) she and her husband tested positive for the coronavirus in early march.

And she experienced almost all of the listed symptoms..

"i had the cough, fever and chills at night.

My husband didn't have the cough and those things as much but he was sleeping like 18/19 hours a day."

Cassandra was surprised by how skeptical people were of the disease.

"we were sick at the beginning of all this for mississippi and people didn't believe it existed.

I mean i would see facebook posts who actually knows someone who's sick.

I wanted to say yes this is real.'

" cassandra had to make all her counseling meetings virtual,, and she cut some of the appointments in half.

As a light in dark times her oldest daughter carissa made music videos about the coronavirus.

"i made music videos with my siblings.

One of them is a parody of and was called ..king fu fighting.

Carissa palmer- daughter (nats) now cassandra is letting everyone know about the importance of staying home.

"monday night after spring break i started running a low fever.

At that point i didn't think it was covid, but i'm so glad i stayed home.

That's the importance of staying home when people think they're sick.

Cassandra and her husband received negative tests for the virus.
