LHA helps low-income families, seniors, and people with disabilities with federal housing assistance.

Extra funding to help with the battle against covid-19.

L-h-a helps low income families, seniors and people with disabilities with federal housing assistance.

Executive director michelle reynolds says the agency has seen an increase in the number of vouchers since the pandemic began.

Reynolds says the 148-thousand dollar grant from the department of housing and urban development will go toward improvements at l-h-a headquarters.

/so the main thing were working on now to utilize some of that money is to upgrade our it system.

We have individuals that need to telework and theyre not able to do that.

So, were working on getting them set up./ reynolds says a portion of the money will go toward hiring temporary employees.

This will help maintain program operations, as they address a lot of inspections.
