MSU has a lot to consider as it plans for in-person classroom instruction this fall

Mississippi State University’s task force team is making plans to bring students back in the fall semester.

Could be filled with thousands of students and faculty members in a few months.

Sid salter-chief communications officer, msu 0:07-0:11;20 chief communications officer sid salter said there are a lot of things to consider when it comes to repopulating mississippi state universitys campus.

"how does housing work?

How does our cafeteria and dining service work?"

Several leaders of the covid 19 task force represent different groups at the university.

Stand up "the msu task force is focusing on ways to social distance, increase cleanings and making face coverings available for everyone.

They're also thinking of ways to administer testing on a large campus like this and explore ways to mixing online and in person classes."

Sid salter said they're expecting an increase in enrollment numbers for this summer and fall semesters.

"were expecting to have a very robust enrollment this fall."

Salter is confident in the members' ability to make the campus a safe environment but said they have not solidified any action plans yet.

"we're hot on the trail of that at this point."

Salter said the task force members are still deliberating about what the final plans for the fall look like.
