Karen, what sort of safety measures is the casino taking?

Management says they're taking a numbe* of extra safety measures--- ((nat sounds)) after being closed for over a month ((nat sound)) win river resort and casino is back open--- sot(angel cruz, lives in redding): it's great to be back.

I'm glad that the casino is back open again.

I think people are observing the situation it's really good yeah.

Sot(gary hayward, general manager): we felt like we were ready to open with our reopening plan based on all the social guidelines that have been passed from the federal to the state to the local, and our plan we feel exceeds any of the plans out there right now.

But not without some big changes--- stand-up((show and tell)): so before coming in---people must have their temperature taken and wear a mask.

Once you get through the doors, you're going to see all the machines very spread out which we're adhering to the six-foot distancing, social distancing, and you're going to see about 50% of what we used to have on the floor.

((broll))the casino also put handsanitzing stations throughout the floor.

It's having limited food service, not serving alcohol and putting up plexiglass barriers.

And that's not all.

Sot(gary hayward): so we're allowing two people per machine in case somebody has somebody with them to keep that social distancing element in place.

The casino is allowing limited capacity of up to 700 ((what's normal capacity?))--- blackjack and poker tables are off limits--- sot(gary hayward): as soon as somebody gets up, the machines are wiped down.

So we're making sure that before someone gets on the machine, it's wiped down and that's just taking place continuously.

All this for the safety and health of their employees and guests.
