Northeast High School is holding its annual Horticulture Plant Sale with some changes this year.

Helping students further their c1 3 b13 school's plant sale.

41 nbc's rashaad vann has more on what customers can expect.

Nat: flower lovers will be able to purchase various plants from true boston ferns to vegetables but will be required to practice social distancing.

Williams: this is called our 6 o 6 sales, it has 6 plants and it's six inches deep, individual plants, a person might want to plant these themselves in their garden.

Upon arrival, no more than 4 customers will be allowed to enter the school's greenhouse for 15 minutes if there's a line.

Nat: lula williams, northeast's agriculture science teacher says this year is different from most due to the pandemic.

Students are not able to see the flowers they planted before being sold, but seeing their hard work makes her proud.

Williams: "they did not get a chance to see all this, the fruits of their labor did all this.

I was amazed at seeing the work that they did," williams said.

"this is also our first year in the greenhouse as well."

She says the students are the ones, that keep the plant sales going every year.

Williams: when we plant in the fall, that's when we plant our seeds and when we come back like twice a month, they are surprised that they plant the flowers.

The next plant sale will take place again tuesday and wednesday from 9 am to 12 pm and c1 3 b13 1 pm to 4 pm at northeast high school greenhouse.
