Tonight was supposed to be opening night for the mustangs but instead it's the night we find out there won't be baseball this summer, official canceling the 2020 season earlier today.
The league worked the last few months trying to put together a season and they pushed the opening day back to july trying to give more time to figure it out.
At the end it came down to safety, safety the players and the coaches and workers and the thousands of fans every summer.

There's a lot of different communities.
We wanted to wait as long as possible because if we could get the season in we wanted to get it in.
We pushed it back to today which should be opening day here for the mustangs.
Should be 4,000 people in here and it's bi bittersweet to be the day we canceled the season.

Gates would usually open in a few minutes with lines behind me but that won't be the case all summer.
