Today waay-31 spoke with the marshall county school superintendent about what her district is doing to prepare.

The district will conduct all sul summer mass classes online.

Sports practices will resume on june 8.

The district decided to wait an extra week to make sure students can practice safely.

They'll follow all guidelines set by the state.

As for classes in the fall, wiggly predicts some students will be returning to the classroom while others will continue learning online from home.

The district is in the process of ordering additional cleaning supplies, masks, gloves, and thermometers.

It's also looking at what changes need to be nead inside the county schools.

Those kinds of things we're looking at now as well as signage from our facility so that we can remind students to stay the social distancing guidelines.

>> as for the size of classes, wiigly said the district need to see how many students choose the online option and what recommendations are meald by the state.

Dr. wiigly also told me the state superintendent is supposed to updated schools with more guidelines for the next school year in mid june and then they can finalize their plans after that in marshall county, sophia barrelly, waay-31 news.
