Multiple Agencies Searching For Missing Teen

WAAY 31 is talking to authorities as they're trying to track down a missing 16 year old in Limestone County.

You're taking a live look at the wheeler reservior - where more than half a dozen agencies are searching for a missing teenager.

16-year-old miguel alonso was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, brown pants and white shoes.

Authorities said he was last seen fishing from the bank near the boat ramp at the end of "elk river park road."

Sydney - what have you learned since we last saw you at 4?

Dan, najahe- for the past hours crews from several agencies have started to take their boats out of the water for the night because strong storms are expected to roll into the area soon.

Crews spent the last 7 hours out here looking for the teen.

The sheriff's office told me they were called by the miguel alonso's family around midnight - after he didn't return from fishing here on the elk river.

Family told them he went out to fish here around 8 am wednesday morning with some friends- but it's unclear when exactly during the day he went missing.

Authorites did recover his fishing pole - the limestone county sheriff's office spokesman tells me it was either in or near the water.

Divers are in the water looking for the missing teen and sonar technology is also being used to locate him.

Rogersville and killen fire both have boats on the water.

The limestone county sheriff's office and alabama state troopers marine police are just some of the agencies out here this afternoon.

Crews plan to be out here tomorrow but it's unknown right now when they will start searching again or how many of these crews will come back out.

The sheriff's office told me they plan on searching for the teen every day until they find him.

Anyone who knows where alonso might be or about his disappearance is asked to call the sheriff' office.
