Johnnie's Drive-In

Johnnie's Drive-In in Tupelo is operating curb-side service with safety regulations in place.

Through curbside service and minimal contact.

Johhnie's drive-in has been very busy especially around lunch time.

Restaurant owner don knight closed the drive-in for about six weeks because of the coronavirus.

The inside of the restaurant is still closed, but the drive-in service is open.

Knight says his employees frequently sanitize the kitchen and wears gloves and masks.

Henry humble is a regular at johnnie's drive-in.

He's grateful the restaurant is back open for business.

"you like to get out and get some food, and it's good that we can come through the drive thru and get a burger or whatever we want."

"if i catch one without one on, i make em put on, this girl here, she's supposed to have a mask on, if she ain't go one on, i'll just walk up, and i'll see that she gets one on."

Knight says he's grateful for his regular customers.

He says the restaurant has been regular customers.

He says the restaurant has been open since 1945.

It became a popular tourist attraction because elvis presley used to eat there as a kid.
