Made.

New tonight at six-- an evansville man is now facing multiple charges after being denied service at a local tattoo shop-- and the reason--- according to police- he wanted a tattoo considered by many-- to be a symbol of hate... "nats tattoo" tattoo artist matthew morris-- "working on tattoo" may have thought-- he'd seen it all after 13 years behind the needle those thoughts... fading away like an aged tattoo--- after meeting this man-- "he had shorts on dustin dwight sinclair "no shirt and a bright pink cowboy hat."

"and he came in and asked belligerently if we could tattoo a confederate flag on him which we do not do-- or anything else that's hate related or could be misconstrued as hate related."

It's a request morris has heard before-- but sinclair wouldn't take no for an answer-- "he had left on 2-3 occasions and kept coming back for the same tattoo i think the last time he came back they locked the door."

Stand up "just to give you some perspective this all went down at earth-born studios-- in a busy part of the city's east side-- right across from bosse high school-- witnesses say he was causing trouble at several area businesses before being arrested not too far from here."

"was in a vehicle with what is believed to be his ex-girlfriend-- he had taken the keys out of the car, rendering it inoperable."

That's when officers arrived-- "they noticed the driver of the car-- she had obvious injuries so at that point they had him exit the vehicle and he resisted law enforcement--so he has a host of charges-- including-- battery-- trespassing-- resisting arrest-- disorderly conduct and public intoxication-- e-p-d sargent nick winsett says any business can ask for disorderly customers to be banned for life-- or a period of a year or two-- which is how long sinclair is now banned-- "the swastika was a buddhist symbol at one point-- and back at the shop-- "but i would not tattoo it even if they person was a buddhist."

Morris has a message for any potential backlash he might face-- "the combination of-- he wanted a confederate flag and he kept dropping the n word like that's the kind of thing we're trying to avoid that situation-- and i don;t want people to think that if they come here we may not tattoo their idea or some ideology or like that-- this is something a little more serious."

I just checked the online jail records-- and sinclair has been released from the vanderburgh county jail-- after posting a five hundred dollar bond he's due
