Transport Secretary Grant Shapps says the UK government has done more than any other in the world to "protect people's lives and livelihoods" throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
He adds it was providing money to local authorities to ensure there is assistance available to families who will struggle without the free food vouchers for schoolchildren.
