This week, a local hospital is allowing visitors in some areas of their facilities after reviewing coronavirus data.

Starting this week: the medical center, navicent health is changing its visitation policy to allow more visitors in some of its facilities.

Navicent says the decision comes after careful review of health policies and local coronavirus data.

Patients in critical care units and birth centers may now have **two** visitors for the duration of their stay.

At the beverly knight olson children's hospital, patients may have two parents or guardians with them for a procedure.

If the visitor decides to stay, they must wait in a designated area.

Basically its done in a couple of ways.

One is obviously where we are more likely to have patients.

Two is where we can maintain safety features to reduce the chance of anyone being contaminated with covid19.

So safety and access where to the two most important at navicent's surgery center, adult patients can have one visitor accompany them on the day of the procedure and to pre-op.
