The weekend is here.

WLFI has you covered with a rundown of your News 18 This Morning Weekend Planner.

Brought it back.

News 18's cody melin breaks down a few events you can enjoy while also being safe during the pandemic.

Cody, what's on the agenda?

Good morning, marlee.

It has been quite a while since we've had weekend events, butas the state slowly opens back up, more events are becoming available.

And this first one, is a favorite.

The coronavirus pandemic isn't stopping indiana fiddlers from getting together.

But this year, it's the indiana fiddler's un- gathering.

This sunday, the event will be held online as part of their "wish you were here tour."

The virtual tour includes top-notch performers like the goats' beards and the ozark highballers.

Now, the event (is free but due to artists losing numerous bookings and sources of income, there will be a chance to donate to the fiddler relief fund.

You can find a link to that and to the prerecorded stream on our website wlfi dot com.

If folk music isn't your thing, maybe roller coasters and thrill rides are.

That's right, indiana beach is opening up for the 20-20 season.

Today the park is hosting a soft opening with v-i-p members, but saturday the park will begin operations with covid-19 in mind.

Indiana beach will be operating at 50- percent park capacity until july 4-th.

Guests will have their temperature checked before entering the park.

Visitors are also being asked to use hand sanitizing stations and are being asked to stay 6 feet away from anyone not in their party.

You can find a link to tickets along with the park's health guidlines and daily hours on our website as well.

I want to reiterate, in person events are only for those comfortable being around other people as the coronavirus pandemic is still very much here.

So if you are going out, be sure to take a face mask.

Have a great weekend and stay safe.
