The advisory council will have access to any resources at the police department including video footage.

Once the report is ready, it will be presented during a city council meeting.

During last night 5 hour council meeting, several people criticized huntsville police chief mark mcmurray's report last week on the june third protest.

Speakers not only called for a re-evaluation of the department, but some went a step further.

Tripp blam, huntsville resident to this end, mayor battle, i call for the removal of chief mcmurray and if you're unable to perform your duty in finding a competent replacement, i call for your resignation as well.

Meetings of the advisory council will be open to the public and we're working to learn how long it could take before they present the report to the city council.

At 5:00 this afternoon, a peaceful protest is planned just across the street at big spring park.

They'll be protesting the police response to the protests on june 1st and 3rd.
