Indiana is set to enter a new re-opening stage this week.

Saturday, the hoosier state will be fully opened... if all goes according to plan.

Local businesses are preparing... "we still anticipate that we are back on track on july 4th.

And we're hopeful but we also understand that there are some areas that are regressing some."

Regressing that are regressing some."

It's part of our continued coverage of how the coronavirus is impacting the wabash valley.

Good evening and thanks for joining us.

Indiana is set to enter phase 5 of reopening on saturday july 4th.

It's basically the point when there will no longer be restrictions for hoosier businesses and activities.

News 10's dominic miranda caught up with some terre haute restaurants today.

He has more on how they're preparing to put customers' minds at ease charlie's pub and grub owner cheyne o' laughlin told me... they actually did quite well throughout the pandemic and since they've been able to open back up and implement the changes that are now in place.

He told me he wants to give back to the community by letting them know why you should feel safe eating here at charlie's.... and what they expect heading into phase 5 of indiana's back on track plan.

O' laughlin told me...they haven't heard much at a local level.... but they expect to be at full capacity this weekend as indiana's back on track plan outlines.

Employees are wearing masks and they are continuing to practice thorough sanitation guidelines.

O' laughlin told me..

He understands why some people may think twice about dining out.

He assures the community that they will do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable and best serve you.

"we're following all the guidelines..all the procedures.

We're going above and beyond in keeping your safety paramount in our minds.

But we also understand that people are hesitant and we respect that.

We still want to offer them dine in service to go, we want to offer them curbside if they feel they want us to come out to their cars."

O laughlin told me he simply can't thank the community enough for sticking with them throughout these tough times.

He told me to remind you all to eat local, buy local, and simply stay local as we all work together here in the wabash valley to recover and get through this pandemic.

In terre haute.

I'm dominic miranda.
