More pets run away on july 4th than any other day of the year... and as a result..

The 5th is the busiest day for shelters.

The overwheleming sounds cause your pet stress.

Signs of stress include shaking..

Hiding..

And a frantic need to escape.

Or even worse..

The loss of a pet's life.

I wanted to see what it was like for local shelters.

So i reached out to the "terre haute humane society."

They told me if you find a pet on the 4th... properly bring it in to the shelter..

Or look for a tag or chip.
