A man has died after he was shot on James Street in Utica Tuesday night.

Shooting we first told you about last night on newschannel 2 at 11 has died.

Utica police are now investigating this as a homicide.

The victim is a 42 year old male from utica.

It happened before 8:30 last night on the one-hundred block of james street.

Police say they found the victim lying on the sidewalk with several gun shot wounds.

Curley says: 29:11"the individual was struck a couple times in the leg and in the torso, we are waiting autopy results to find out exactly what contributed to his death but certainly as a result of gunfire."38:29 01:29;10 there is a person of interest who we have identified as a resutl of this shooting we are actively looking for that individual and don't believe there's any danger to the public at this point.

01:36:14 02:31;27 we do believe that the individuals the voctim and the suspect involved knew eachother there may have been some altercation prior to that and we are goingt o be looking at surveillance videos and speaking with witnesses and any kind of speculation at this point.
