Dalton School

Dalton's back to school plan is a hybrid.

School board voted monday night to push back the first day of school.

Originally, dalton public schools were going to begin classes on august 6th.

Due to a rise in cases and guidance from the health department, students will now return to school on august 31st.

From now until then, the superintendent says teachers and staff will be actively planning for the semester.

"we have an application out right now, we're asking parents to fill it out for each of their children, that asks them 'do you want to come back by virtual which is 100% virtual or would you like to do some face to face?'

Once those parents select virtual, then we'll take the remaining students that's left and we'll divide those up into two cohords."

Half of those students would go to class on monday and tuesday..

The other half on thursday and friday.

After two weeks, parents will get to choose to resume classes five days a week or
