Fort Wayne teachers expressed concern for how educators will be able to connect with virtual students the same as if they were in the classroom.

Students and teachers alike are preparing for a school year unlike any they have experienced before.fox 55's jeremy masukevich tells us how local educators plan to overcome obstacles they're anticipating this fall.

Nat reneewe will quite probably have to adapt on the fly as needs present themselves.

Renee albright says there is more uncertainty going into her 35th year as an educator in fort wayne then any years past.sot albrgiht we will not know until the very end of this month how many pick door number one or door number two.

So a lot is to be determined and that is maddening for administrators, parents, kids, and teachers alike and brittney pearson an alternative education teacher with fort wayne community schools says the year will have a new set of challenges unfamiliar to most teachers.

Sot brittney connecting with students who have struggled in school on a human level is very important.

And that human connection, that social connection goes a long way when working with them academically.both educators say they're concern about how teachers will be able to connect with students who choose e-learning the same as they would in the classroom.

Nat brittneyi think when you take out that component there will be challenges even that we can't foresee.sot brittney that's something that i am still working out and struggling through, is how i can best support them because i think human connection is profoundly valuable.albright says teachers may struggle to manage both in-person and virtual lesson plans but doesn't expect most schools to bring on extra staff.sot renee we totally can't reinvent education for something that is not a permanently necessary change.

Thats a lot of money, rearrangement, and reinvention i don't know if that's the valuable use of resources and while albright does expect challenges to present themselves throughout the year she hopes teachers can see the positive in showing students new skills.

Sot renee its not going to look like it normally would, but they are learning things that no other generation has had to learn.in fort wayne, jeremy masukevich, fox 55 news if you're
