A year without baseball at parkview field has lead the tincaps to be creative in ways to engage with fans.fox 55's jeremy masukevich spoke with fort wayne's baseball team today about how the community can support the team during their time off the field.

Tincaps media relations manager john nolan says it's been a strange couple of months in the summit city without baseball.lower third: john nolan, tincaps media relations manager sot john typically this time of year we are used to parkview field rocking with 8,000 or so fans strong right now you see we have a pretty empty ballpark.nolan says the fans have spoken up about longing for a day at the ballpark and the team wanted to provide a way for fans to look back on the year with some humor.sot john a lot of our fans have reached out and said we haven't had a chance to come to the ball park and get our annual gear purchases so right now the tincaps are offering some special, commemorative, 2020 shirts that are available online.the tincaps reached out to local business eighteen threads to create limited edition t-shirts to commemorate the season that never was.lower third: chad bushee, 18 threads owner sot chadwe said yeah, we will jump at the opportunity.

The store just launched it and we are already getting some activity and people seem to like it.

So it's going well so far.owner chad bushee says the eighteen threads staff has had a shift in mentality during the pandemic to support the businesses that make fort wayne unique.

Sot chad its doing these type of things partnering with people like the tincaps and some other people.

We have done some fundraisers for smaller businesses in town that have been affected by this.
