Clinton Historical Society
After nearly 5 months the Clinton Historical Society reopens

Today.

And as news channel two's gary liberatoore shows us...there are some big changes that make up their new normal.

"so how does it feel good to put that up....oh good...very good......."

This is one of the most historical days in the history of the clinton historical center.

(jim coulthart, clinton historical society administrator) tc : 53:57 "and was it a difficult decision to reopen?

Well it was the board's decision and we follow templates that were available throughout the area most notably the oneida county history center&."

And with this reopening...comes the new normal... (jim coulthart, clinton historical society administrator) tc : 54:37 "and leave needless to say if you're not feeling well, this would be an opportunity to stay home&" once inside you must sign in... (rose raymond, board vice president) tc : 58:12 "we also asked them to give us their phone number so that if unfortunately someone does have the virus then will be able to do contact tracing in the future."

Only five visitors are allowed in at a time.

Tc : 59:40 "when we start our programs in september, we are only going to have a b able to have a limited number of people of 10."

Tc : 56:03 "we have temporarily closed our downstairs exhibits out of an abundance of caution.

No public bathroom& so you better make sure that you're ok when you come...."

And this new normal will one day be a piece of history...right here... tc : 07:53 "we always encourage members of the community to keep a record of what they're experiencing because today's events are tomorrow's history an absolutely the whole covid-19 experience of our community is going to be a big part of the history of this village."

Tc : 08:27 "and then 100 years from now people be reading about that huh yes absolutely right in here yes yes."
