"Where the food at" and Molina Healthcare collaborate to give the community a hot meal and school supplies

The worst of times, can sometimes bring out the best in people.

That was the case today at the starkville housing authority.

Molina healthcare partnered with s- h-a and local restaurant "where the food at" to provide members of the public with a hot meal.

Hand sanitizer, book bags, and even a few toys where also given away at the event.

Organizers say they hope people walk away with a little more than just what's on their plate.

The theme of today's event was "we're all essential"
