Rabies Vaccination Clinic held Friday in Rome

There was a line of cars on West Liberty Street in Rome Friday evening entering Rome City Hall for a rabies vaccine clinic.

The oneida county health department held a rabies vaccine clinic at rome city hall this evening.

Those who attended pre-registered and all the appointments were booked up!

Rabies is almost 100 percent preventable for pets if they are vaccinated.

We spoke with one woman who gave her thoughts on why her dogs' vaccination is important, and what she feels about these clinics.

"there's a lot of skunks in my neighborhood and i don't want him to get rabies.

There were around 180 pets vaccinated today in rome.

Next clinic is set for september 21st at the annsville town garage from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.
