Coronavirus numbers by county: Aug. 19, 2020

Updated coronavirus numbers in Oneida, Herkimer and Otsego counties.

The mohawk valley region is at point four percent.... newschannel 2's jason powles goes county by county with the local numbers...jason good evening.

Kristen good evening....in oneida county....no potential public exposures to pass along today... more good news...the county is back down to single digit positive cases...just seven today.

There are 80 active cases right now...9 people are hospitalized.

One of them is a nursing home resident receiving acute care at mvhs.

In herkimer county more good news as there are no new cases... just 21 active in the county...that's a drop of 16 since yesterday... three people remain hospitalized.

And in otsego county...there are two new cases in the last 24 hours.

That makes three active in the county....no one is in the hospital.

Kristen the governor said today...and it really echoes what area county leaders have been saying all along...that while the numbers are very good news...covid is not over....we cannot be complacent.
