The racing season at chateau speedway in lansing has come to a screeching halt.

With all of the other tracks in the area and all around it seems like its going steady for everyone else so i was a little surpised when it popped out of nowhere.
The announcement was delivered to drivers and fans through facebook and the track website wednesday.
While there were many disgruntled fans in the comments section... there were also those who support the track's decision.
Driver zach elward says he hasn't seen anything different at chateau than he has anywhere else this season.
I mean you've got some that you know go above and beyond you know just to be extra precautious you know?
I mean the way i see it every other track is doing fine so i was obviously surprised when this all went down.
I reached out to the speedway who was unavailable to accomidate an interview... saying the owners are hard at work with hopes of possibly being able to reopen by august 28th.
