But now--- the state is putting 8 million into bridging that divide.

The new initiative --- will provide access to low-income households for students at a cheap price... for the next several years..

"the goal is by september 15ht through an rfp we will identify providers who will provide high-speed internet service for all k-12 students for just 10 dollars for the next 2-3 school years.

The money is coming from the federal cares act to support this program.

Some homes are eligible to have their costs paid for in full.

More details will be posted next week on the kentucky department of education website.
