An elementary school in one Northern California county is set to be the first public school to welcome students back into the classroom.

This will more than likely be upgraded to a red flag warning as we get closer to the weekend.

Humidity is expected to dip to below 20 percent, winds out of the north will be up to around 20mph, with gusts up to around 30mph, and temperatures will end up well above average through the weekend.

Valley areas will end up back in the low to mid 90's on saturday, and will then top out in the mid 90's to low triple digits on sunday.

Mountain and foothill areas per state guidelines, elementary schools are allowed to apply for a waiver- the principal here at murdock elementary school did so and got approval!

Standup: students at murdock elementary school ended the last academic school year online.,, they started this year virtual now& roughly 600 students are coming back to campus.

We show you how school will operate during the coronavirus pandemic.
