Amended Order Allows for More Hospital Visits

Waay31's breken terry just got off a zoom call with the president of helen keller hospital.

She joins is now after finding out what's changing there to comply with the adjusted order.

Breken... yeah guys, hospital president kyle buchanan told me no coronavirus paitents will be allowed to have visitors but said for the last several weeks they have allowed people in other critical situations to have only one visitor.

That will now change.

Buchanan said they are going over the ways to keep patients and staff members safe and keep charts of who is coming in.

He said right now as you come into the hospital you get your temperature taken, he said they will add more people to be able to take temperatures and names.

Buchanan said prior to the governor's mandate they would allow one visitor with someone but that person had to stay and couldn't be in and out of the hospital.

We're also looking at how to best monitor and make sure again for the safety of our staff and caregiver to ensure that we do only have one at a time per the governor's mandate.

We're working through a process to make sure that happens on a timely basis.

So at all times we know mrs. johnson has her one visitor and when that person leaves or exchanges with a sibling we can keep track of that.

Buchanan did tell me they are very happy the governor extended the mask order into november.
