"* i'm here at the first unitarian universalist church in rochester where they held it's annual handcrafted bazaar just earlier today.

It usually takes place in december ?

"* but got pushed up to october so that it could happen safely outdoors during the pandemic.

This is the eleventh year of the handcrafted bazaar where local artisans gather each year to celebrate their creativity and show off their talents.

First unitarian univeralist church recieved support from olmsted county to make sure that the event happened safely.

This event is usually held in december, when many do their holiday shopping.

But due to covid, some changes had to be made.

"lots of changes, most likely this is how it will be from now on... since times have changed i don't know if i can see us having an event like this inside again in the near future."

40 local artisans were registered to participate in this year's bazaar.

Event organizer melissa eggler says the inspiration for this annual event is to support local artists and honor the creative community.
