3rd Annual Over the Edge (10-5-20)

We're less than two weeks away from some 40 ácourageousá people rapelling down an 8 story building.

Thats right - the 3rd annual "over the edge" fundraiser is almost here.

Voices of courage - the nonprofit providing counseling for children dealing with trauma or abuse - puts on this fundraiser.

Each participant pledges to raise $1,000 for the advocacy center then gets harnessed up and rapells down the hillyard building.

The pandemic is changing how things are run this year - masks will be required.

The executive director of voices of courage says the event encourages people to face their fears - and understand how scary it is for a child to tell their story of abuse.

This year's "over the edge" fundraiser will start at 11 a-m saturday, october 17th at the hillyard building.

A block party will follow featuring featuring a car show and something new this year... "run to the edge" - two block long kids races.
