The ilion police department was one of many agencies where people could safely dispose of unwanted, unused medications this afternoon.
The medications were limited to pills and capsules... they could not take liquids orneedles safety and to follow social distancing guidelines a drive- thru drop-off was set up at the police station.
"people actually started showing up this morning a half hour before we were scheduled to open.
It's been very busy today.
People just pull in the lot, they pull up to our window, we're waiting there with a container.
They throw everything in and off they go."
