Very Little Theatre remodel

Eugene's very little theater is putting their down time to good use... by finalizing plans to remodel.

They've been getting the stage and auditorium ready at the theater at 24th and hilyard -- to hopefully break ground in march.

They're hoping to complete phases one and two of their plan at the same time..

To save money.

Phase one includes new, wider seats... with more leg room... where you can see the stage better.

They'll make improvements to the stage, in phase two.

Including increasing the depth..

And putting in a new system to hang lighting, curtains and scenery.

So actively we've been working on the project for about 5 years, designing, redesigning, raising money."

Duration 21" phases three and four... which will happen later, include an enlarged scene shop and more storage for props, furniture and costumes.

They've raised more than half of the one point two million dollar budget for the first two phases..
