After being named a resort status, the city of Eupora became able to sell alcohol to residents.

Charges.

In mid-november, the city of eupora was voted resort status for their local lake, allowing the city to sell alcohol while being within a dry county.

Shortly after the announcement, mitchell's central service grill applied for a liquors license.

The restaurant plans to sell wines and other small alcoholic beverages with meals.

Restaurant owner, lisa davis said this addition to their menu would help her business through the pandemic... but she also thinks it will be helpful to locals by saving them a trip across county lines... "a lot of the surrounding counties can already serve and have a glass of wine with your meal and so we're excited to be able to offer that here in the city of eupora."

Davis said she is unsure when the restaurant will be approved, but hopes to be able to sell after the new year.
