Rare Toyota Sells For $2.5M at Auction

A rare Toyota just sold for $2.5M at a car auction in Florida.

Only 351 of the cars, called Toyota 2000GT, were ever created, all between 1967 and 1971.

Toyota 2000GTs routinely fetch $1M+ on the auction block, but this specific model is even more valuable to collectors.

Known as the Toyota-Shelby 2000GT, it's not only the first 2000GT ever produced — it also at one time belonged to racing legend Carroll Shelby, who was famously portrayed by Matt Damon in the 2019 film ‘Ford v.

Ferrari.’
