The former football star who saved his son and niece from drowning is speaking for the first time.
Peyton Hillis tells “Good Morning America” he leaped into action when the kids were seized by a rip current in Pensacola, Florida.
He says the scariest point was when he swam past his son to save his niece first.
After saving both children, Hillis passed out and was airlifted to a hospital.
The 37-year-old was on a ventilator in the ICU for ten days with lung and kidney failure
