Migration to the United States through the Darien Gap, the hazardous jungle area separating Central and South America, "won't stop" according to Giuseppe Loprete, the UN official in charge of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) mission in Panama.
More migrants have crossed the Darien Gap so far this year than in the entirety of 2022.
